My work is monotypes and encaustic. I use many different materials in my work: plants, carved plates, photo plates, solar plates, chine colle, hand cut stencils, stamps, stitching, watercolor. Creating or discovering all these different elements and figuring out how they go together is delightful.

Finding beauty in the everyday is a way to meditate and see joy.
Using botanical and other natural imagery has been particularly centering during the pandemic. While so much of human life was at a standstill, the natural world kept on, oblivious. The humming bee, the stalking heron, the busy crow all continued. This gives me hope for our future.
